Biography Born in Fougères, Brittany, Patrice has been passionate about pastel for thirty years, following his meeting with Bernard Victoire, pastellist, with whom he will work for some time. This technique will become for him a major art. Patrice lives and works today in Gourdon in the Lot. His training as a landscape designer led him to present the sincerity of a true emotion with simplicity in front nature. Pastel is the medium that gives him the most satisfaction. It is inspired by landscapes, rivers, old stones and the sea. Difficult for him to resist the seduction exerted by the matt velvety of such a rendering, the liveliness of the colors relayed by the extreme finesse of this powder : pastel. Outside of work in his workshop, he aims to transmit his technique through internships, at home and in Brittany, and to organize meetings between pastellists. Patrice also teaches in Blois, Cour Cheverny, Aubigny-sur-Nère, Voisin-le-Bretonneux and in Montignac (Pastels Girault). Since 2011, Patrice has taken the presidency of the “International Pastel Show in Brittany”. He is also a contributor to the magazines: "Pratique des arts" and "Plaisir de peindre".
